Home care is non-medical services provided in your home to help maximize your independence, including help with personal care or activities of daily living. VNS Caregivers assist individuals of all ages who are recuperating at home after illness or hospitalization and help older adults manage daily life. Our home care services are flexible and responsive to your needs.

How much does home care cost?
The cost of hiring a caregiver will depend on the type of assistance you need. Home care services can be provided on a minimum of 3 hours to 24 hours a day to a couple of days/weeks—or on a live-in basis. Depending upon your needs, home care is often the least expensive approach when compared to assisted living or nursing home costs. Our fees are competitive with other full-service home care agencies. Who can benefit from home care?
Home care is useful to individuals who feel they need some assistance with activities of daily living. For example, if you have difficulty shopping and preparing your own meals or bathing independently, you may benefit from the services of a caregiver who can assist with these tasks. Your family members, friends, and others may also benefit from home care, because it can provide respite from caregiving as well as the reassurance that their loved one's needs are being met even when they cannot provide the care themselves.
When are you available?
We are available Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and available 7 days a week 24 hours a day on call.We are available whether you need regular weekly visits, or if you only need a little help on occasion. We provide affordable services for 3 hours minimum up to 24 hours or more days or weeks.
What do your services cost?
Each case is different. We talk with you about your needs and then develop a care plan that fits and works for you. Depending on what you would like, cost could be various. Please contact us, and we can discuss costs pertaining to your specific needs.

Is there a cost for the initial interview?
No, there is no cost for an initial interview. Do plan to spend some time with us, however, as you explain your needs and wants, and we explain how we will make that it happen.
Does having homecare result in a loss of independence?
No. Our belief is that independence is being in control of your decisions. Having in home care services means being in control of your activities and retaining as much independence as each situation allows. Many of our clients just need a little help to continue living a safe and productive life while some might be recovering from a fall or surgery, or other condition. Regardless of your situation, our goal is to enable you the best possible outcome while being in control of your care and daily decisions.

- Criminal background check. Background checks, including fingerprinting, are completed to screen for felonies, misdemeanors, violations, outstanding warrants and criminal time served. VNS Caregiver looks as far back into an individual’s history as possible.
- Social Security check. This check includes all counties in which the candidate has lived or worked.
